Candle Care Tips
Candle care is essential for getting the best performance and longevity out of your candles. Here are some tips:
Trim the Wick: Before lighting, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (6mm). This helps prevent soot and ensures a cleaner, brighter burn
Burn Long Enough: Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container during each burn. This helps prevent tunneling and extends the life of your candle.
Avoid Drafts: Keep candles away from drafts, vents, and air currents. This helps prevent uneven burning, smoking, and excessive dripping.
Burn Time: Limit each burn session to 3-4 hours. This prevents the container from overheating and ensures the candle burns evenly.
Extinguishing: Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame. This helps prevent hot wax from splattering.
Re-center the Wick: After extinguishing the candle, if necessary, re-center the wick to prevent uneven burning and sooting.
Safety First: Always burn candles within sight and keep them out of reach of children and pets. Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
Storage: Store candles in a cool, dark, and dry place to prevent color fading and fragrance loss.
Container Safety: Never let the candle burn all the way down to the bottom. Leave about 1/2 inch of wax to prevent the container from overheating.
Cleaning: If soot builds up on the container, clean it with a damp cloth once the candle has cooled.
These tips will help you enjoy your candles safely and get the most out of them!
